For two summers in a row I have taken my daughter and her friends to Pembroke Virginia for a Mountain get away. Summer is a very busy time for me so I can only get 4 days away to pack Mountain fun in, so with my travel time that leaves two and a half days to do as many adventures as possible. This year we hiked to the Cascade Waterfall, did a 10 mile float and kayak trip with class 2 and 3 rapids, did a 7 mile kayak trip with class 2 and 3 rapids, swam and tubed a waterfall and rapids, did a two hour mountain bike ride, and the highlight for me was Hawaiian Sling fishing the river on our 10 mile trip and spearing fish.
I could not have done all this without Tangent Outfitters. With a trip to their website and one phone call I arranged all of that and a tranquil stream side cabin for us to stay in.
